Heart Of The Matter

The Frog

What happened to the dreams I had,
When I was but a child,
And life was so much simpler then,
You ate, you slept, you cried.

My life was filled with fantasy,
One day, a Frog I'd kiss,
And he would turn into a Prince,
And I, would be in bliss.

As I grew up, I looked for him,
In every Prince I met,
It seemed he was in hiding,
I carried on my quest.

And then one day it happened,
Completely out the blue,
The Frog and I collided,
I swear, I thought, I flew.

What happened to the dreams I had,
And still have, to this day,
The Frog is gone, but he'll be back,
The Prince is on his way.
