Today is Good Friday;
A day to rejoice and be glad.
Yet it is hard to get out of my
mind,the picture of you hanging on the cross,
With a crown of thorns upon your head.
That thought continues to make me sad.
I know you're sitting at the
right hand of Thy Father;
This I take much comfort in.
Yet I long for Easter to come,
For this is the day that I rejoice,
For upon this day you arose...
Praise your holy name... My Lord!
You were tortured and withstood
so much pain...and then nailed to a cross.
All this for sinners...
to have a chance at everlasting life.
My Lord and savior paid the ultimate cost.
I know at times I fall short of your
precious love and grace;
Yet all I have to do is ask for your
forgiveness and then keep the faith.
I'm still a piece of clay that
daily you are molding...
Help me to keep my eyes upon you...
Also,remind me always to give you the glory;
So when my time on earth is o'er...
I'll be with you in heaven...
and see my loved ones forever more.
