As I sit here alone
Gazing at the sky so blue
I watch you soar freely above me,
Your wings are firm
As you swiftly glide by,
Your body white like snow
Becomes one with the clouds above,
Within seconds you are out of my sight
I wonder do you see
All the destruction beneath you
As you travel through the sky so free,
While your journey takes you far away
From all that is familiar
You begin to search for your own special place
A sanctuary to rest your weary body
