A Friend Like Mine
There's no one else quite like you
I can't remember such a smile,
occasionally wild and crazy
better keep you around awhile!
You know how to get me laughing
I sure need it time to time,
every soul on earth should have
a truly great friend like mine.
One who knows me in and out
has seen my ups and downs,
makes me bust a gut amidst the tears
and has me acting like a clown.
I'm sure God brought you to me
a promise whispered in my ear,
with a friend like you by my side
there's absolutely nothing I fear.
I'll have to thank my Lord above
for my "sister" for all time,
my sweet and nutty, funny face
the best...a friend like mine.
