Words of Life, Love and Praise

My Sweet Girl, Allie J.

An anguish left unspoken
lay behind eyes crystal blue
to most it hovers unnoticed,
but me, I study you.

I examine the way you walk,
and avoid another's gaze
your over-attentive nature
with the tiny ones at play.

I see the way you hold yourself,
there's more than meets the eye
your cousins group to chatter
as you quietly sit nearby.

Gods precious, lovely angel
my sweet girl Allie J.,
I hate this thing that holds you,
but what I can't explain.

Perhaps one day you'll see me,
silently watching across the room
and know I'm here to listen,
anytime you choose.
