Sunshine
Sunshine warms my skin
light from up above
energizing my body
and refreshing my spirit.
Flowers spring up to meet you
scenting the air around
lending color and beauty
to Gods glorious landscape.
Rich, warm and desired
California's a great place
we bask much of the year
embraced in your golden rays.
You help to grow the food
that nourishes our bodies
and sprout the trees for shelter
from the sky's gentle rains.
Darkness would surround us
were you not here to light our way
so thankfully I'll daily greet you
and be blessed by all you touch.
