Words of Life, Love and Praise
Oh Kind and Gentle Heart
Oh kind and gentle heart, fail me not today
lead me through the gates of truth and love
that I may walk with the Most High.
Grace my lips with kindness that I may extend it openly
let me spread it among the souls in need,
knowing their numbers are many.
Let me draw on mercy, should the need arise
and allow me strength for grace in the face of adversity.
May I bite my tongue should anger flare
and turn my back to temptation if it takes me by the hand.
Let me draw others as a beacon of hope and light
in this dark place of loneliness and despair,
and pray with those who need a word
and know not of His divine and perfect love.

and point them down the narrow path to Him,
and the peaceful, righteous way.
