Just One Day At A Time – Sue!The trick to dealing with pain, And the way to live life to your best, Wake up every morning tell your-self this; One day at a time! And you'll be blessed. Blessed with the strength to deal with… Every pain and trial of your life, One day at a time is all it takes, To help you deal with your painful strife. No matter the pain that we bear, And no matter the tears we cry, One day at a time, that's all we can do, And acceptance!! Never question why! When you question the whys and wherefores, That's when it gets really tough, If you can't accept your life as it is, You will never get through the rough. We have to accept and deal with… All the pain that we live with each day, Do this Sue, do as I tell you! And everything will be okay! When I wake of a morning, I have a ritual that I complete, I tell myself; one day at a time, And the pain in my body I'll defeat! If we wallow in self-pity, Then we'll be miserable all of our life, You have to accept things as they are, To get through the pain and the strife! Day by day, that's the trick Sue, And trust me - you know it's true, We deal with it the best we can… We do whatever it is that we have to do! You think that I'm so brave, Yet I cry and sob and weep, But then when the sun comes out again, My strength will begin to creep… Creep back into my heart and mind, And once more I face the next painful day, Because again I tell myself; one day at a time, And once more everything is okay. One day at a time Sue…one day at a time, And accept things are not always fun, But one day you accept like me… That's the day you've finally won! I have empathy with you I walk that walk, And Sue, you need that too... And then you will find that all i say is correct... And you do what you have to do... But Only One Day At A Time!
