Hardly a word spoken
Yet they await her arrival,
softly walking upon the stage
she glides as if on air,
slowly she approaches
and every heart stands still,
as she starts to speak
the crowd stares in ah of her,
the flint of light in her eyes
illuminating those around her,
the words sweetly coming from
those precious lips,
in silent amazement they take
in every word,
as she pours out her heart
in verse then in song,
unearthly music filling the night air,
precariously they are mesmerized
by her lovely presence,
the  heavens open up
with a loud roar of thunder,
tiny droplets of rain
fall from the clouds above,
as the water glistens
upon her delicate skin,
the crowd stands motionless
in time.....
