One Special Day

This is the special time of year
When all mankind is filled with happiness and cheer,
As the snow falls peacefully upon the ground
Children are playing all around,
The paths are covered in a blanket of snow
While children's faces are aglow,
The wind is fierce and bitter cold
Nobody seems to mind whether young or old,
As the days roll on to a brand New Year
All of mankind has forgotten their cheer
If I had one wish
It would be this,
That everyday should be filled
With happiness and cheer
Not just at this special time of year
