To my sweet Linda on her birthday. I love you
and hope all your birthday wishes come true.
This is a day to remember,
in all the days to come.
For today was born a friend of mine,
my friend, my number one.
To some she is a mother.
To some she is a chum.
To me she is all that,
She is my number one.
If I were full of wealth,
Oh my what I wouldn't do;
To show her all my love.
To Show her how it's true.
One million roses and dollars to boot,
She'd pass it all up she's such a hoot.
I know in my heart just what she'd like.
A sleep without pain from her warm healing light.
Nope not even that would top all the gifts.
For my number one doesn't think like this.
Now it's time to get real and reveal my secret
gift.
I know her thoughts are with others so here's
what it is.
She'd want all her children and friends and
family
to be safe and successfull in whatever may be.
She'd want them to come see her on her special
day,
and to tell her they love her in their own
special way.
Even for those who may be too far away,
Just a special phone call to brighten her day.
Oh don't get me wrong, a gift would be great.
So, I'll start out with this and the gift will be
late.
I hope she likes my poem, for it is from the
heart.
Just like my sweet Linda, whom I'll never part.
So number one this is just for you.
