Meaningless words fall from my lips,
never intending to cause you pain,
these words I so deeply regret ever saying,
yet I said them in all honesty,
thinking our friendship could withstand them,
never more have I been so mistaken,
time shall heal the drift my words have made,

reluncantly I leave you for a time
maybe one day things will be fine,
true friendship comes in many forms
but ours has always been filled with honesty,
this is where i say "I am sorry!"
for not being more sensitive to your pain,
without thinking i lost my best friend,
all for the confusion within myself,
and for being totally human,
