Faculty Of The Mind: By Michael Ssemakula

Daring shadows

Where do shadows come from?
And where do they take a leave after the candles go out?
Even the most fearsome creatures are tagged with shadows

The mirror contains shadows in its own emulations
The sun shares shadowy simulations with the moon
Darkness is comprised of shadowed metaphors within itself

Ghosts travel the dreamland through crowds of mounted daring shades
While in the vicinity of dangerous caves, shadows linger fearlessly
Shadowed similes cross paths of the fiercest animals with great ease

Does the shadow of the King reveal his real personality?
Emperors in their highest places are openly accompanied by shadows
We all honestly follow and are freely trailed by our own shadows

The rivers, lakes and oceans shall without restraint harbor reflects
And shadows on creation without the slightest fears of extermination

The source of light bears no replicas but splendor
And the everlasting light of this world is Deity
No one lives through his glowing and remains the same

Like in those days of Moses and the burning bush,
To this moment forward the shadow of our lord is his Glory
The only living Supreme King without any trace of a shadow
