I see the voices of angels
by hearing the words they write
I taste the love of Humanity
in songs sung through the night
I shake hands over phone lines
sending messages through the air
Reaching all the people out of sight
the ones who really care
We dine on words between us
the desert is the meaning we bring
The family of the written word
in all time, places, and things
We walk the world on metaphorical roads
joining all Humanity we see
Sometimes we talk of non-sense
an join in a wordy weave
Find your way to understanding
new thoughts that speak and unnerve
So they will tell you tales of compassion
and make tales of love become heard
And by the ending of the morning
you file the experience as if it were love.
