DON'T WEEP
Do not weep for me when I am down,
For I am but one man,
But instead think of the many,
Who always live with frowns.
Tomorrow I’ll be smiling,
The tiers I cry will pass,
But think of those who suffer,
Their cries will always last.
Mine are just self-pity,
For something that’s gone wrong,
But they’re out there the needy,
They never will sing songs.
Weep not your tiers for me then,
For I am not in need,
Tomorrow I’ll be smiling,
But they are never free.
As you weep I’ll join you,
But not for me for them,
The children who are dieing,
We will never see again.
