Words of Life, Love and Praise

Mother's Winter Nature

Mothers shivering breath crackles through now frozen limbs.
She twirls through the streets and across the plains,
wrapping all about her in a glimmering white frost.
She glides her fingertips through what's left of autumns bloom
till the dew turns as icy stone.
A kiss blown toward heaven brings a flurry of feathery white
that gently floats to earth, caressing all in its path.
She dances to and fro that all near might be touched ~
Her eyes sparkle and her lips curve in pleasure at her creation,
for mother has brought winter once more.
Children spring out of bed, having eagerly anticipated mothers visit.
Childish shrieks and giggles fill the air - such joy!
All stand in awe at the spectacular picture she has created for them.
Ice forming perfect crystals to glimmer in the light,
and a flawless blanket of white lays silent as far as the eye can see.
Soon bundled children, snowball fights and sleds will dot
her perfect winter landscape ~
At the days dawning, mother quietly becomes but a mist
then proceeds to spread a glistening chill across the globe,
for this is, after all, Mothers Winter Nature.
