Remembering Dad............Remembering Dad.... Forty-five years have passed and I find myself here, at last, trying so hard to recall the sound of your voice when you would call my name, or sing "my song", but it's just too hard, it's been so long since Jesus called you home to Him. I was such a child then, Dad, in many ways, I still am. Life is full of choices, Dad, I know, some choices I have made haven't been so intelligent, Dad, I've made some mistakes and life has dealt me the hand that comes with those breaks Do you remember the day that the wind did blow a blizzard filled with blinding snow? You came to school, and pulled me home on my sled, all wrapped in a blanket, warm. I wonder now just how cold you were when you came to get me, it was such a blur, I was only five, kindergarten you see, and I was just so proud that you came to get me !!!!! Nobody seems to remember, Dad, How you plowed gardens, and the horses you had every spring to do the work, yet I can name them, and I wonder why I remember Wimpy and Beauty, while other memories lie In forgotten places in my brain though I try with all my might, they still remain Lost to me, yet, one thing is true~~~ You loved me Dad, and I still Love you.
