You hurt me back in those days
You helped make me who I am
You cut me down and called me names
You helped make me who I am
You made me feel like none before
You helped make me who I am
You took it all away from me
You helped make me who I am
Then again, you had another side
You helped make me who I am
You strengthened me when I was weak
You helped make me who I am
When people were near, we were all smiles
You helped make me who I am
On the inside, we cried trying to make it better
You helped make me who I am
But our fake smiles could not last forever
You helped make me who I am
We broke it off just in time
You helped make me who I am
Now we are good friends
You helped make me who I am
I can go to you in my time of need
You helped make me who I am
No matter what, I know you will still care
You helped make me who I am
Through it all you will be there
You helped make me who I am
I know if I call without a clue you will be right there to guide me though
