Compassion from GodPsalm 103:10-13 God has not dealt with us after our sins, Nor rewarded us for the iniquities within; For as the Heaven is high above the earth, Great is His mercy more than we are worth; So as far as the east spans from the west, He removes transgressions for to be blest; As a father is compassionate to his child, So to the Lord to who fears and is defiled; Compassion is the key what God gives, When He looks upon our sin and forgives; He deals with our agony and our pain, As well as helping our strength to regain; All of this is possible only if we admit, To the guilt and shame that we commit; When we hold onto conceit and pride, That builds up a barrier deep inside; We need to tear down our barricade, That our sinful thoughts have made; Open up your heart unlock the door, Allowing God's healing power to cure.
