Heart Of The Matter
A Picture On The Fridge
It's only a picture on the fridge,
Unnoticed day by day,
Just part of the surroundings,
Now isn't that the way.
And now and then I look at it,
It's just a photograph,
But it recalls a memory,
Of how you made me laugh.
It was taken at a function,
I believe it's Christmas time,
I see you're holding mistletoe,
And we're singing Auld Lang Syne.
Just a horde of happy faces,
In the foreground just we two,
And someone caught the moment,
When I fell in love with you.
I know it's just a picture,
But it's there for all to see,
It constantly reminds me you're,
The only one for me.
Unnoticed day by day,
Just part of the surroundings,
Now isn't that the way.
And now and then I look at it,
It's just a photograph,
But it recalls a memory,
Of how you made me laugh.
It was taken at a function,
I believe it's Christmas time,
I see you're holding mistletoe,
And we're singing Auld Lang Syne.
Just a horde of happy faces,
In the foreground just we two,
And someone caught the moment,
When I fell in love with you.
I know it's just a picture,
But it's there for all to see,
It constantly reminds me you're,
The only one for me.
