Words of Life, Love and Praise
Now He Knows
Today I explained my feelings to him
oh the tears, they did fall -
20 years of this life we knew
now scattered among the breeze.
He said he would do anything
to recapture the love I once did feel-
but looking into his eyes so dark
I sadly found not a glimmer remained.
His words were heartfelt and ernest
as he told me to live for me...
said he has felt my sadness and angst
yet he simply refused to believe.
I know how my words hurt him
feeling it so deep inside,
as he continued to tout his love for me
asking me to give it time.
My heart ripping full apart
to hurt him in this way,
this is just not who I am
and I never meant to cause him pain.
So now I start to consider this life
one I now will live for me
and where it shall take me is unknown...
guess I'll just have to wait and see.
