EPIPHANY

Divulge

Africa,
The home of my people,
Where my roots lie,
In the hot sand,
That inhabits the Earth,
Where black is not just a color,
But a word of dignity,
In which one can look about and be proud,
Of their heritage,

Where being black,
Knows where you come from,
Where you're headed,
And where you're destined to go,

I divulge in my black skin,
And introduce every curve that,
Is me,
A Black woman,
Who honors her ancestors,
Who shed blood to give us freedom,

I only wish that every,
Black Boy and girl,
Would honor the skin they are in,

And divulge in their,
Blackness.
