Heart Of The Matter

Dreaming

I woke with a start,
I was dreaming,
That someone,
Had stole you away,
You went in the night,
Just simply took flight,
And left me to face,
Lonely day.

I wandered around,
You were not,
To be found,
In the places,
I thought,
You would be,
I was frantic, of course,
But what made it much worse,
You had left me,
Without the T.V.

You'd run off with a friend,
And this was the end,
The note said,
You didn't love me,
The passion had died,
When I read it, I cried,
What had happened,
To your memory.

It was only last night,
When I gave up the fight,
And abandoned myself,
To your will,
We were at it for hours,
Took a break between showers,
And then we went in,
For the kill.

I just woke with a start,
But I still hold your heart,
Cos, you're lying there,
Right by my side,
When you open your eyes,
You just cannot disguise,
The love that keeps me,
Eagerly.

So I wrote it all down,
And you laughed,
At my frown,
And you told me,
You'd never leave me,
But if I should go,
I just want you to know,
The last thing I'll need's,
The TV.
