Forbidden Fruit

What if the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
Was really the one know as the devil?
What if they did not eat a real piece of fruit?
But it was false doctrine that began to root?

The woman was deceived and enticed,
And believe it would make her like unto god and wise,
Satan told her God's Word was a lie,
And said thou shalt not surely die.

And when their eyes were opened they knew,
That this seed was not true,
They then realized the serpent lied,
And heard God and ran to hide?

And God removed them from the garden,
Until the day their sins He would pardon?
Have you ever seen a fruit to make one wise,
And because you ate of it, your soul dies?

Did you ever think it happened this way?
Ask God what really happen on that day,
Go ahead and take another look,
It all there in Genesis in His Book.
