Words of Life, Love and Praise
For The Love Of You
As I look over these few weeks past
So much has birthed within my soul
What I now see is unlike anything
I had imagined truest love would be.
No longer are those silky images
Nor softly whispered sighs….
Or passionate heated kisses,
as our bodies come together as one.
Oh, such pretty rubbish.
Real love is not so soft or silky,
Though at times it may be…
Real love is a sacrifice,
But for your heart, my soul is willing.
This love I feel is very raw
It goes deep and so unstill,
Indeed joy within this anguish
Real love is a very bitter pill.
But swallow it, indeed I shall
You make sacrifices of your own-
So much you give and give every day,
to keep peace in your unhappy home.
Yet each moon rising means one day less
Till you are holding me in your arms,
Just know that I am always here...
My love for you is true,
and I shall sacrifice what I must
for your heart and the love of you.
So much has birthed within my soul
What I now see is unlike anything
I had imagined truest love would be.
No longer are those silky images
Nor softly whispered sighs….
Or passionate heated kisses,
as our bodies come together as one.
Oh, such pretty rubbish.
Real love is not so soft or silky,
Though at times it may be…
Real love is a sacrifice,
But for your heart, my soul is willing.
This love I feel is very raw
It goes deep and so unstill,
Indeed joy within this anguish
Real love is a very bitter pill.
But swallow it, indeed I shall
You make sacrifices of your own-
So much you give and give every day,
to keep peace in your unhappy home.
Yet each moon rising means one day less
Till you are holding me in your arms,
Just know that I am always here...
My love for you is true,
and I shall sacrifice what I must
for your heart and the love of you.
