Bring Back The Old Days©

I wish i was a kid again
and it wasn't just pretend.
To only have to worry
about a zit or getting cooties.
When carrying guns was a way
of getting squirted on a hot day.
And the only crime was coming home late
from playing ball with our team mates.
We jumped rope for fun
not because a crime scene would be undone!
The only bad was report cards without all A's
and the skinned knees we got along the way.
Ah Yes kids in my day we had it made,
we set up stands selling lemonade.
We didn't care about
the almighty dollar in our hand.
AND people weren't afraid
to stop at our lemonade stand!
