The Dole!Need to get off the dole missus, Please love, find me a job, I'm totally desperate for work, I need to earn a few bob! The kids need clothes, And shoes on their feet! They're walking in rags, And don't look very neat! They need food in their bellies, To keep the hunger at bay! We just can't go on… Cold and hungry each day! Need to get off the dole missus! I can't take no more! The wife is ill with worry, We just need to know the score! The world's in a terrible state missus, No work to be found! Every day I'm up at dawn, Forever searching around! Need to get off the dole missus, Need some self esteem! Need to feel I'm needed you see, Need money, know what I mean? Please give us a job missus! Need to get off the dole!
