When the day of Pentecost actually came,
They were in one place accord the same;
Suddenly from Heaven such a mighty wind,
Filling inside of the house undisciplined;
Then appearing cloven tongues like afire,
That sat upon each of them for to inspire;
They were filling within on the Holy Spirit,
Speaking in other tongues began to exhibit;
As the Holy Spirit gave them an utterance,
A sound not of our earth with an existence.
The day of Pentecost was such a big event,
Breathe new life in the church was intent;
Speaking another language not of their own,
Not taught it prior it was totally unknown;
It really must have been an awesome sight,
See the Holy Spirit riding a wind of might;
Sitting on their heads the flaming tongues,
As Heavenly sounds pour from their lungs;
With the Word stretching out far and wide,
Bearing true witness that can be testified.
