Gremlin

 Gremlin by Mayfair

I am sorry
about last night, honey.
I love you and I
believe in you.

There is an angel
that sits on my shoulder
that's one hundred feet tall.
She tells me how much
you love me, how
special our love is...

But there's also a gremlin
who is one inch small
that gives me tiny doubts
that creep up once
in a blue moon and
I usually stomp on him
with chunky shoes or
smother him under
a very big pillow.

I killed the gremlin
for good last night.
I heard your words,
your thoughts about
the fears I had and...
your word is all I need.
I trust you completely.
The gremlin is gone.

Forgive me, honey.
I love you.
