Ole Joe©

A man with great wealth:
having more money than he could count,
more land than he could see,
living out his life so full of power.
He owned slaves by the mile,
and paid them hardly their worth.
For he had to have the best and
he had to spend his fortune wisely.
One day the man came upon joe:
who worked the fields he owned.
Joe was singing and smiling away,
he asked joe how he could be so happy.
He said you're poor and have nothing,
joe just smiled and said but maser:
i have love in my heart and
that is why i sing...
The man just shook his head
and walked on,
how can he be so happy?!
Later that evening the man
got suddenly ill
and felt his time was near.
He lay thinking to himself:
i'll have no trouble at the pearly gates,
for i have wealth and power.
Well the time came and there was God,
standing right before him.
He said to God:
i've come to take my place with you.
God said what makes
you think you're worthy?!
The man said i'm the richest person
that ever lived and
i belong in heaven.
God said to him oh but you're wrong,
the richest man was and still is joe:
he's very much alive and
showing you how it's done!
