ALL THAT IS LEFT IS  MY LONELINESS

~{"Longing"}~

~Sig by SilverFox~

Believe me when I say what's true to heart,
You'd be a fool to believe otherwise,
My expressions of love were many,
Only to go astray when you forsakened me.

You took my hand and my whole life, too,
Then you went away, to a land beyond reach,
My heart felt pain like never before,
But through time, thank God, it has declined.

Faithful I have been throughout a giant span,
Lingering on for a convalescing hereafter,
For wheels in the sky keep on turning,
Not knowing how much longer I'll be spinning.

Reaching out to others, as done in the past,
Now my hands are clenched with loss of hope,
Set back in time am I, with wonder of wonders,
As I close my eyes,  the same old ballad repeats.

No longer can I chant the melodies of love,
For loneliness approaches more each day,
"Amazing Grace", I listen while tears flow,
As "I was blind, but now I see."

All I have left is my sweetest dreams of you,
Though you are no longer mine to hold on to,
My love for you will remain deep in my soul,
Even though, all that is left is my loneliness.
