As I watched them lower you into the ground,
With a tear in my eye, I looked around.
So many people's lives you did touch,
So many people that's gonna miss you so much.
I saw you as a tiny baby in your Mother's arm,
I saw you as alittle boy, your sister's keepin you from harm.
I saw you as a young man,
Fishing and hunting with your buddies, and protecting our land.
I saw you when us kids were young,
I heard your laughter and the songs you sung.
I saw you playing with your grandchildren,
a young child you became again.
Then I saw you look into your great-grandchildren's eyes,
the smile on your face lit up your face.
I saw you sick and Us kids held your hand,
Each of us wanted so much to understand.
We wiped your brow when you weren't able,
We will always miss the empty space at the table.
I watched the grandkids gentle toss dirt down,
I could see their faces all with a frown.
Someday they will come to realize,
the way we see it through our eyes.
I see you comforted in God's arm,
I see you far from any harm.
I see that your in no pain now,
I closed my eyes and my head I did bow.
I whisphered "thank you.
God put peace in our hearts anew."
