Remember when life was
just a dream,
As everything back then
did seem.
Digging for worms to go
fishing,
Lying beneath the ole
Oak tree doin' alot of wishing.
Cookie crumbs on our faces,
We learnt to run now we were
going places.
Captain Kangeroo was the hit
show for someone who was three,
And poor George of the jungle
would always hit that tree.
Remember when down at the corner
supermarket a dime bought alot of candy,
We'd run home in our barefeet feeling
so dandy.
Summer days lasted a lifetime,
The green m&m's were always mine.
Koolaide was our drink of the day,
A splash in the puddle kept
heat away.
Simple times down by that muddy
creek,
Pushing brother in cause we
thought he was a geek.
Then moma would scold us good,
Just like moma's should.
Remember when our only care
was to have some fun,
Play outside til the day
was done.
Remember when we thought our
parents were old,
And we swore we would never
tell the stories they told.
And now look at me,
You can clearly see.
That I've got some stories
of my own,
Cause you always reap what
you've sown.
And now I sit here again,
