Let Go
Lord, I humble myself at your feet tonight
Please hear me as I pray-
I made such a huge mistake
When I gave my heart away-
He is a kind and gentle man
Yet I find he is not free,
His life far too complicated
and could not honestly give his heart to me.
Indeed, I understand his plight
And would change it if I could,
But I know you had your hand in it
So I know your intent was good.
I am not here to ask for myself,
But him I wish you to bless-
I ask that you help him when he is down
and clear up issues that are still a mess-
please give him the love he so deserves,
make his house a happy home-
remind him of your love for him
that he may never feel he is alone.
I entrust him into your capable hands
Because I love him so-
but hold me close under your mighty wing,
as you help me let him go.
