Every Time

Every time you say good~bye
Emptiness is all that I feel
The walls close in around me
And I lose sight of what is real

Time it seems to slip away
Right through my trembling hands
As I search for the words to say
Words only you would understand

I bite my lip to still my tears
Knowing that you need to go
But my breaking heart is crying silent
Please baby, I love you so

The floor disappears from under me
And into despair I always slip
Clinging to the moments we had together
With a forced good~bye falling from my lips
