Picking Up Your Own CrossHebrews 12:1-3 Embraced by a great cloud of witnesses, Let us lay aside sins of our weaknesses; Run with a patience the race that is set, Stop the bickering that we might regret; For we look unto Jesus author of our trust, In order to wipe out all our forms of lust; Of joy set before Him endured the cross, Despising shame for the sense of loss; Now sets down at the right hand of God, For to welcome all who honor and laud; Enduring all the contradiction of sinners, For all of the believers are the winners. Do not be weary and faint in your mind, Since a new Heavenly light has shined; A light of faith that gives us new hope, To turn away from sin in trying to cope; Trust in Jesus, have faith in His Word, Believe in Him that you read and heard; Picking up our cross for His name sake, And confessing before Him each mistake.
