Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
Juanita Leaves
She left on thursday,
It was overcast,
But there was sun.
And when I cried
Because of her departure,
So did the birds...
So did the dogs...
So did the clouds...
So then there was nothing but
The shattered silence that
She left me with.
There was nothing but
Laughter stained on
The van’s windows
From when we travelled to Lynnwood,
Two half-bred natives
On an adventure to shop at
Barnes and Noble;
To eat the fruit of knowledge.
When the laughter dried up,
There was barely room for tears
And I wonder about
If she reached Germany yet
And how many people are crying
Over there tonight.
~
Even after I dropped her off, I was still laughing.

*One of my best friends went to Germany and I just miss her like crazy.
It was overcast,
But there was sun.
And when I cried
Because of her departure,
So did the birds...
So did the dogs...
So did the clouds...
So then there was nothing but
The shattered silence that
She left me with.
There was nothing but
Laughter stained on
