If They Don't Know…!If they don't know us truly, When they are supposed to be a friend, Then how can they be so hurtful, And not try to make amends. When the friend who knows you so well, And is supposed to be as close can be, Then why hurt someone so deeply, It's incomprehensible to me! The love that flows between friends, Can sometime take a dent, By hurting with words or actions, That were never hurtfully meant! A true friend should know you well, And if they ever hurt you so very deep, Then that friend wasn't true at all, For their words and actions make you weep! A slight disagreement, yes of course, For that's nothing to be upset over, For little things like that occur all the time, After all, life's not a bed of clover! But when they hurt you intentionally, And hurt you deep within your heart, Then that is unacceptable, And so as friends, you have to part. For a friend so true isn't nasty or harsh, And would never take offence in jest, And if that's so, then that is sad, So you walk away, for that is best. …For They Didn't Know You At All… Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
