…Dents Come And Go…But Friendship Is Forever. We plod on with our lives, Laughing and having fun, Then all of a sudden, upset is caused, Dear God, what have we done? To hurt someone intentionally…! Is unforgivable that's true, But when that hurt was caused in jest, You don‘t know what to do! You try and tell yourself its ok, But deep within you it breaks your heart, That you have lost that friend so good! A friendship that shouldn't part! Love life and laughter are the ingredients, Of a settled and contented life, And yes, throughout life hurt occurs, And it causes so much strife. For those friends should never have parted, And devastation hits all around, Upset and tears in abundance, Solace just can't be found! You don't know what to do, How to make amends, For everything to be well again, And friends once more become friends. For a friendship true and solid, Will never really fall apart, For no matter what, no matter when, They will never truly part. Dents of the heart happen, But that doesn't mean its okay, Not when it hurts someone so much, That you cause them to walk away! Days pass, all isn't well, And your heart is battered and blue, You want to make amends… But you don't know how or what to do! But in your heart you hope and pray, That all will once again be well, For the break up of a friendship, Can be pure unadulterated living hell! Then again, deep down - I have to say, That they will never truly part, For you can't let anything break a friendship, When that breaks-up and hurts your heart! Acquaintances come and go, People flit in and out of your life, But a friend so true – is a friend so dear, And that friend is also there for life. Dents in the heart are repairable, They just need a little loving care, And just like that, out of the blue, Your friend is back – and there! All will be well, never say never, No matter what happens, stay strong, For one day soon, be sure of this, You'll be back with that friend before long! …Because… …Dents Come And Go… But Friendship Is Forever.
