Family

The youngest of five that's what I be, two brothers, two sisters each older than me.  A good Sicilian Irish family you see.
My mother was born the only one, I know she never lacked for fun.  My father was born the youngest of three, and came with his family across the sea.
We lived in the town of Melrose Park where the Italian Feast was best after dark.  Games, rides and cotton candy were all great fun and oh so dandy.
Our house was always full of love, where people were treated like a fine leather glove.  Family and friends were always welcome at the table and anyone else if they were able.  Homework, phone calls and what to wear and sometimes we heard “how's my hair” were always topics of great care.
Because from my family I am far apart, these memories I have are forever in my heart.  I love them all as you can see.  For each and every one of them mean the world to me.
