A Second ChanceRomans 5:6-8 Christ had died for the unrighteous sinners, Giving a second chance to be prizewinners; For a righteous man rarely one would die, At most you would just barely hear a sigh; Yet by chance for a good man even dare, Taking his life seems like being so unfair; God demonstrated to us proof of His love, Even though we were still sinners thereof; Christ died for to save us from the wrath, By repenting and walk the righteous path. We have been given a new lease on life, Even through all of the our toil and strife; Since God has given us a second chance, An opportunity of eternal life to enhance; With the blood of Christ in being crucified, Becoming the sacrificial lamb as justified; For the cross became a symbol of choice, Either continue in sin or begin to rejoice; Another chance for you to open your eyes, For to be Able to claim your eternal prize, Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2004 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
