Great Promises of God

II Peter 1:2-4

Grace and peace to be multiplied unto you,
The knowledge of God and Christ through;
According to His divine power has given,
An inheritance waiting for us in Heaven;
Through His knowledge showing respect,
For the glory and virtue able to reflect;
He has given us of such a great promise,
Promises given as exceedingly precious;
Possible as partakers of the divine nature,
To change and turn us into a new creature;
To be used as an escape route from lust,
And return to God with building our trust.
God enjoys blessing our prayers everyday,
As we travel through life on the pathway;
He fills us with His peace from His grace,
Soothes us when sad in a sweet embrace;
More important is a promise going beyond,
As our faith is building in forming a bond;
With His promise for us never to perish,
For possessing an eternal life to cherish.
