Heart Of The Matter

Time Is Ticking

Time is ticking,
Slowly by,
Should I laugh,
Or should I cry,
Say hello,
Or say goodbye,

Does it matter,
Pie in sky,
Catch a rainbow,
Is it dry,
Pretty colours,
In four ply,

Pick up stitches,
From a seam,
Just another,
Crazy dream,
Wondering now,
What did it mean,

Silver horses,
Unicorn,
Flying now,
A single horn,
Past life regression,
Now I'm born.

Welcomed here,
With open arms,
Gentle touch,
In safest hands,
Looking, listening,
Understand.

Vulnerable then,
Fragile too,
Placed in care,
Of just a few,
Helpless soul,
Depends on you.

Fed and nourished,
Now I grow,
Forgetting things,
I used to know,
Reaching high,
And stooping low.

Time now racing,
Flying by,
Should I laugh,
Should I cry,
Just a nightmare,
Did I die.
