Of all the things in Nature
in which I love to see
It is the stars within the sky
that look down upon me
Even when the sun shines
they watch my every step
In body and in mind
a crown from Heavens grip
Their brightness keeps me sane
knowing we are not alone
In God's arena we play
for our decision we atone
In all the worlds that are
if we were the only ones
An empty space of creation
a prison that contained just one
To see the stars as Man
light years of worlds away
Where imagination freely roams
touching places with magic and play
While never leaving your room
they spark the desire within us
To travel far and wide
and roam the Cosmo in a rush
Where are our relatives of mind
intelligence of which did grow
I converse with stars every night
their answer I want to know
To hope one day they will come and see
our star who is as small as we
For somewhere out there
there surly is an other
Who wishes upon a star
and maybe they too wonder
If anyone lives so far
that even time can not see
The loneliness of a race
always wanting to be
In places with no end
and others out of time
And surly other creatures
come and call sometime.
