Silent dogs of war _

Judgement of emotions
limits the creative mind
slowing down the process with
which belief to fit inside.

A belief has no power
unless you make it so.
Like spirit houses built of ether
resting on the sand.

Some have some foundation
for a more impressive show
though you find they quickly wash away
when your child is killed in war.

Houses built by patriots
quickly dissolve away.
They kill you with your love my friend
quite expendable they say.

Go on in, rope ‘em in, round ‘em up
get them while they're young.
The only way you'll get ahead
and see the world my son.

You can work your way through college
but there's something you must do.
You will have to kill for us
and maybe lose your life there too.

You see we need to keep the peace
and maintain the status quo
and rid the world of terror
with terror of our own.

They are the elite, the illumined ones
they have the power
for centuries funding_ wars.
Selling terror to opposing sides
good business so they say.

Until that time you hear them say
with a personal message of your own
the beliefs dissolve within the rage
as questions start to come.

Too late, too late, all asleep of late
for years we've watched this scene.
New laws are in, picked off the shelf
your freedom's gone, so listen to me friend.

They play upon your weakness
they know what makes you fear.
The spin doctors spin their corporate webs
and whisper in your ear.

They know about belief systems
and how to control your mind.
They feed you up bad news like chooks
and soapies to dull your brain.

You're not supposed to question
and challenge in any way or kind.
That Animal Farm of Orwell's mind
we hoped we'd never find.
