God's Most Beautiful Angel-A Mother's Grief

Solitaire

Solitaire

I sit here sleepless. Only one.
In front of this computer... smoking.
Solitaire. Stack the cards right and your done.
One wrong card and your choking.

Push the right button and you can begin again.
Black on red. Red on black.
Seamless…king then queen then jack then ten.
Can’t slip up and get off track.

600…700… how high can I go?
Midnight…1am…how long can I stay awake?
When will it stop? I don’t know.
Is it an illusion? All a fake?

Happiness. Love. Death. Sorrow.
What else could be in store?
Here I sit waiting on tomorrow.
No more guessing. That’s the score.

Solitaire. Stack the cards right and your done.
Games imitating life.
