Heartache Bound... 1986

Let not the moments that we did share
Leave your heart or slip your mind
As I will surely love you
Until the end of time.

Down a one way road we walk alone
With no room to turn around
And in searching for our happiness
We find that we are heartache bound.

Somewhere the promise of our youth
Has somehow slipped away
Like babes, we find our loving hearts
Being cradled in the arms of yesterday.

We run to those who ask so much
Yet give little in return
We nurture what is left of love
One more lesson to be learned.

It is so hard to give your heart
And then t6o walk away
Knowing that the one you love
Will be hurt again someday.

I'd like to take away the loneliness
From the one I truly love
To see us nurturing the happiness
In the hearts we are sure of.

As I sit here waiting patiently
To hold your heart forever more
I pray that you will remember
What your loving heart is for.

Life is too short to fight for happiness
Out of hope, we fight from day to day
How tragic that we walk alone
When true love is but one heart beat away.

Let not the moments that we did share
Leave your heart or slip our minds
For fate and love will surely see
That we share them one more time…
