If We Kept Reaching
If we kept reaching out our hands
Would we feel each others touch
I can't help but simply wonder
I long for this so very much
If we kept calling out a name
Would we finally be able to hear
The voice of love that escapes our lips
Like a whisper against our ears
If we gathered all our tears
Would a river begin to flow
Each drop a passing memory
Of the times we are alone
If we listened hard enough
Could we hear our hearts that beat
I would never stop listening again
Until you were here with me
I guess that I am lonely
I miss your love tonight
The same as I miss it every day
That we are out of each others sight
