We look to others for strength
Who seem to have things going
Who have gone to great lengths
Their weaknesses are not showing.
It's good to look to others
We can not go life on our own,
But remember no one is perfect
Time, and again that has been shown.
Not even our beloved parents
Who sought to raise us up right,
Though their flaws may not be apparent
They've known their share of night.
Only God is Perfect
And the LORD is our Perfect Guide,
The only that you can count on
To lead without stepping aside.
So be thankful for the strength of others
But be aware they are not infallible guides
As long as they are of Humanity
They'll always have something to hide.
Allow for other's imperfections
As you surely acknowledge your own,
Be not shocked by unexpected detections
But be forgiving, as you too, need it shown.
