We Aren't Truly Apart

Yes miles they stand between us
Our days are spent now all alone
Watching time as it taunts us again
Such a bittersweet torture we both know

Our hands may not reach far enough
Kisses fall though we can't hear a sigh
Yet the love is real and shining through
Even if we can't see it in each others eyes

Whispered words and promises we make
May be sent down this telephone line
Life may take it's toll on us
I know that we will be just fine

Yes my love, I know, I miss you too
You are here with me in my heart
As long as I hold you close inside
We are never truly apart
